Clerkship Program – Pathway to the Profession

We are always on the lookout for the next generation of intelligent, dynamic, and personable lawyers. If you think that could be you, we are offering Summer Clerkship opportunities to university students entering their second last, or final, year of their Bachelor of Laws.

Our clerks will undergo a two week paid placement where, under the guidance of a mentor, you will be exposed to a myriad of practice areas, including: criminal, family, commercial, and civil litigation. You will get to undertake legal research; attend Court; and work alongside our lawyers and Partners. Amidst the hustle of one of Tasmania’s busiest, and most varied, legal practices, we want to help you find the best path for yourself.

The Clerkship program will run for a two-week period during January to February 2027. Dates will be negotiated to accommodate individual needs and commitments.

Applications for 2027 will be open until 5:00pm 2 October 2026.
