Matthew Clark

Matthew graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws with Honours in Law. After graduating, Matthew spent two years as Associate to the Honourable Justice Helen Wood of the Supreme Court of Tasmania gaining valuable skills and experience in criminal and civil litigation, as well as a thorough understanding of court procedure. Matthew joined Murdoch Clarke in June 2023, practising in our litigation department.
Matthew’s practice areas include:

• Criminal defence;
• Planning disputes;
• Contractual disputes;
• Family Violence and Restraint Order Applications;
• Debt recovery

Matthew appears regularly in the Magistrates’ Court and Supreme Court of Tasmania, as well as the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Outside of legal practice, Matthew enjoys keeping active and travelling.
